Spanning from the barrier islands along the Gulf of Mexico to the waters of Old Tampa Bay, Clearwater is a land filled with beaches that have consistently been named the top beaches in the U.S. and the world.  From nightly gatherings and festivals celebrating the picturesque sunsets to countless water activities to lazy days on the sunny beach, Clearwater’s outdoor venues are second to none.

While beaches are the main attraction in this town of just over 107,000 year-round residents, there are plenty of in-town activities that are captivating in their own right. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is home to the famed dolphin Winter, whose story of receiving a prosthetic tail was featured in the 2011 movie “Dolphin Tale”.  Shopping, dining and live entertainment are abundant throughout the city, but the Cleveland Street District overlooking the Clearwater Harbor and Marina is a beehive of activity, with a variety of concerts, festivals and exhibits.  On the last Friday night of every month, this section of town features special entertainment and vendors.

And sporting options abound as well, whether you are participating or just watching: take in a Major League Baseball Spring Training game; join a beach volleyball league; board a fishing charter boat for the catch of the day; dive or snorkel offshore or in the bay; hike, bike or kayak miles of trails… the list goes on and on.
